JJ has been writing stories and poems since she could pick up a pen,
and singing since she discovered her voice. It wasn't until she was 18 that she picked
up guitar and combined her favorite forms of expression into songwriting.
At her core, she is a performer. Her journey as an artist started as singing and
writing alone in her bedroom, and eventually led her to venues like
The Ark,
The Blind Pig,
and
The Garden Theater.
Artist, educator, and operations manager at Georgia Rose Farm, she is proud of the many hats
she wears. In recent years she has discovered her passion for health education, and
is currently studying for her degree in Health Education and Promotion with
Arizona State University. Her dream is to cultivate community spaces that encourage
healthy expression through the arts.
